Can't let go

    Newer Older

7 days old and already a handful. Leonardo had to be resuscitated when he was born and then spent the first 2 days of his life in intensive care so his mother didn't get to hold him. Now we can't let go.

I know this composition has been done to death but I just had to try it.

    AB800 @ 1/16th in 48" softbox with egg-crate grid.

Thank you for this great image. I'm using it in a video I created as an educational supplement to a musicological essay published on the Critical Noise blog about archetypal sound called, "Branded @ Birth™ (or 'How Mommy Goes Viral'). The video URL is: The blog URL is:

I don't mean to speak out of turn but I am concerned at the nudity on here. I understand that a baby won't mind being naked in the moment but a baby can't consent to having nude pictures of them posted online for everyone to see. I know it can affect some people as I had nudity forced on me as a child and it went on to cause me severe sexual and mental health issues to the point I considered suicide. I write about this in the WordPress blog "How Being Forced To Use Communal Changing Rooms At School Affected Me". Please don't think I'm having a go, I just felt I needed to speak about this concern.
