Virgin River, Zion National Park

This is the Virgin River in Zion National Park. You can take the Riverside Walk trail (2 mile round trip) to the gateway to the 'Narrows', which is where this photo was taken. But because the water was running too fast they weren't allowing anyone to hike the river. Of course that didn't stop us from wandering in and walking around a bit but the current was strong and most people didn't go very far. I just went in with my hiking boots on, it was so hot I didn't care if they were soaked...of course the water was ice cold. But a couple beers and a couple martinis later on at the campsite made everything all better :)
