Day 30: Owl Holes

Owl holes are typically found on the gable ends of barns beneath the eaves. Some claim these designs are the ornate signatures of the craftsmen who built the barns. Others say they were carved to allow

access for barn owls. Either way, whenever I look at these holes, I'm reminded of the simplistic beauty of our historic old barn.
