Copley Square

Copley Square in Boston. Across the square, at left is Trinity Church, based on the Romanesque architecture of southern France; the skyscraper on the right with sleek glass curtain walls is the John Hancock Tower. Completed in 1976 and rising 247 meters and 60 stories, the I.M. Pei-designed Hancock Tower is the tallest building in Boston (although you wouldn't know it from the truncation in this photograph).
