reflections of a dangerous mind

During Thanksgiving weekend, I attended "Bodies: the Exhibition" in lower Manhattan. The display consisted of actual corpses, as well as body parts of dead people, used to demonstrate various aspects of the human anatomy. Here, a skull is immersed in some liquid (perhaps formaldehyde), and the thin red lines that snake through it are the blood vessels that traverse an actual human skull (I think some special dyeing process was used for this exhibit).
