Zeppelin "Hindenburg" over Hastings-on-Hudson in 1936
Ph1151 La: This photograph shows the zeppelin "Hindenburg" floating over the Anaconda Wire & Cable Company on the Hudson River during a "good will" flight. A.C. Langmuir, who took the photograph, perhaps from his house on Broadway, notes the date: October 9, 1936. He has also added a note about the crash that destroyed the zeppelin almost exactly seven months later.
