The Green Rim - Sunrise
Shot on a Fuji XT-3 and Canon 800mm F5.6L lens w/ 2xIII Teleconverter.
Notice the slight green at the top of the sun?
The "Green Rim" is a phenomena that occurs when the earths atmosphere acts as a lens and bends the light ever so slightly. Green light is refracted more strongly than red and so different colored images of the sun become very slightly vertically separated. As the Sun rises it develops a green edge on top and red on the bottom.
