My first RAW
After what happened on Saturday, I am determined not to let that happen again...so all day today I have been practicing shooting and learning to convert RAW files. It does take much more time, but then you get out what you put in to something. I'm lucky I had the day off to do this because for me, learning this is very time consuming - and I have lots more to learn. I also need to use layers which I haven't been - I have to force myself to learn that too. I voted last week and this morning had sunshine, not any more though - it's raining very hard.
At one point there were 4 bees on this flower but one more started buzzing around me so that shot was way out of focus!
I have so much to learn regarding RAW vs jpeg...so far, the hardest part is getting the converted RAW files into a place/file where I want them not just in "My Pictures" file. I actually got out the manual today...wow...that's a first! lol
One thing for new 50D owners who use Photoshop...you need the latest version if you want to use Bridge. My PSCS2 w/Adobe Bridge did not work on the 50D raw files. I had to use the DPP 3.5 which came with the software with my camera. So, if you want to use Adobe Bridge CS2 won't work, I'm not sure about CS3. I understand you need CS4.
I know the photo stats says jpeg...but it was shot in raw and converted.
