Kabelvåg, Vågan Church or Lofoten Cathedral

Vågan Church, also known as Lofoten Cathedral, was consecrated in October 1898 and is situated at Kjerkvågen, near Kabelvåg, on the southern shore of Austvågøy island. It is a timber-built cruciform church in the Neo-Gothic style and can seat up to 1200 people.

The beautiful wooden cathedral is the biggest wooden building north of Trondheim, the biggest church in the northern part of Norway.
