1; New Beginnings

In this moment nobody cares how dirty you are. Nobody is looking at the scars that have wrote these poems of your past on your chest. Nobody is looking at the deformity of your soul. Nobody is judging because by judging they will only find themselves just as sad, if not worse off than yourself. So why do you stand with your arms crossed and your eyes tracing the ground’s skin? Why do you allow yourself to be silent when you are cried upon to be beautiful? Can’t you see that even with this dirt coating your face, there is the light that wraps around you, so tangible and loving yet you shield yourself in shame?

“For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.” He says this to you but your ears are lost in a sea of regretfulness and your body, a gem, a diamond of purity, has grown roots of lies in this dirt.

Can’t you see that this is only your temporary home? You do not belong here yet you sink yourself deeper into the filthiness you think you deserve. You are becoming a tree that is planted in the world, one so oblivious to the love that is waiting for you. You are a gem he told you, still you ran. New beginnings, he told you. Still you hid.

You are only wasting the time that others desperately need you to use but still he waits, still he calls and you hear him but you are afraid. Don’t be scared because he sees the truth under the dirt on, in and under your skin and he still loves you. He still reminds you that you are not a tree to be rooted upon unstable, sinful soil. You are to be running and setting fire to a world in dire need of hope.

Even though you root yourself in this temporary home, please, open your eyes to the light that wraps the road to where you belong. Because you are missed. Even more than you miss your old self.

“To those who think I am a certain way or tell me I am not good enough or that I am not the poster child of god’s choice, and to myself who constantly runs in fear and in uncertainty - this is a new beginning and when you try to stop me you just might find yourself unable to follow because you are rooted to who you wish you could be.”

Just try and listen, maybe my stories can show you that this is only a stop to where you’re going.

And thank you. Just…thank you.
