Farmhouse in the Azores- 1,000 miles off the coast of Portugal in 1956

Praia da Vitória ( Beach of the Victory) is a municipality in Portugal's Autonomous Region of the Azores. The second largest administrative division on the island of Terceira, Praia da Vitória occupies the northern coast of the island and extends halfway into the interior having at its frontiers Pico Alto and the shield volcano of Santa Bárbara.

This was taken between Praia and Lajes Air Base with a Leica IIIf/50mm f2 Summicron lens and Kodachrome (ASA10)film.

NOTE: Sorry about the grain in the sky but this was recently scanned with my Nikon Super Coolscan 4000ED, THIS SLIDE IS OVER 55 YEARS OLD! Compliments to Kodak even though much later I switched to Fuji Velvia.
