Crypt Lake - Enter Tunnel
The approach to the famous Crypt Lake Tunnel. You've climbed for (at least) two hours and now you've reached what most people find to be the hardest part of the hike. The tunnel is not so bad - unless it gets busy as there's not much space to wait for people going the other direction to get through. You have to climb a ladder that Parks Canada has put to help people climb up this end. And then you have to crouch down and crawl through part of the tunnel but you're in there for no more than 30 seconds and can see both the enter and exit at all times. I found the harder part to stretch of the trail just after the tunnel where you have to hold onto a cable to get across a ledge. There's no visibility from one end of the cable to the other so you can't see if anyone else is coming around - you need to shout out.
