GFB07 The Head of trhe Procession

Blackett Street, Grey's Monument, Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear, England, UK

Today the sun came out for the first time in months as the biggest ever Gay Pride event started in the centre of the city. The parade was 4,000 strong and the party in Exhibition Park bulged at the seams with over 23,000 visitors.

Here the head of the procession arrives at the Monument.
