The old abandoned Toledo House of Corrections prison farm out by Whitehouse Ohio. It operated from 1918 until early 1991. This is shot through the chain link fence, since there's a big no-trespassing sign on the fence, I didn't try to get in.

This was also the longest focal length I had that day so this is a pretty extreme crop. I tried for the stark look in the B&W conversion - I wanted it to say "abandoned prison!" - this being a misdemeanor-only, low security facility it doesn't look particularly ominous (heck I've seen high schools that look scarier)

Photographic opportunities abound here. This is the Blue Creek conservation area and there's a huge (20,000+ sq ft) old barn that's being restored as well as one of the Nature's Nursery offices.

There's also a wetland and an Oak Savannah on the property. It's all run by the Toledo Metroparks.
