    These are not ripe yet. When ripe, they get bright orange. However, we picked one for further examination at home. Since we didn't get to it, while in Costa Rica, we decided to bring it home. Michal, honest as he is, declared it on the border customs form. That's when we learned that everything you declare, will be thrown away. And not only that, the border officers turned our backpacks full of dirty clothes upside down, trying to search for other fruit that we may possibly be smuggling. And Stanko started to cry, seeing his souvenir being thrown away. What a "wonderful" welcome home (the second one as a permanent resident of this country, i.e. green card holder).
