Welcome to my Humble Abode ~Explore~ ~Flickr Blog~

My mother in front of a trailer. Probably belonging to her mother. Her mother owned property in Dundee IL, and had a cabin on it, so, hmmm, not sure where trailer plays in to that. She looks pregnant, so 1951 or 1953. I'm gonna go with 1951.

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR THE KIND COMMENTS AND FAVORITES. My parents would have been thrilled to had made * explored* and the flickr blog, if they had heard of Flickr.
They died long before Al Gore invented the internet ;-)

Love this. My dad is sitting here with me and he almost thought it was a photo of his mom for a second. So sweet.

A real classic shot Gwen. It looks like it was taken on a beautiful sunny day and the open doorway of the trailer provides a great frame.

I've never looked at that way, with the door frame and all. I agree. Plus I don't think the photo would have been so interesting if she was just standing out in the front, on the side. She had an eye for excellent compostion when it came to photography
