Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum

5th Ave at 89th St

New York City

Guggenheim members and their guests gathered to celebrate the exhibitions Gutai: Splendid Playground, Zarina: Paper Like Skin, and No Country: Contemporary Art for South and Southeast Asia. Renowned improvisational dressmaker and performer Miyuki Nishizawa—a.k.a. Shimbun Onna, which means “Newspaper Woman” in Japanese—selected the music playlist and performed in large-scale clothing made from discarded newspapers.
