Space in the City

Explore September 13th

Another "shot of opportunity" from my iPhone. The scene and sky appealed to me so I snapped away. I applied some processing to this one and liked it even better. In fact I used an Aperture preset called "Bleach" that I got from fellow Flickr member El TiDY www.flickr.com/photos/eltidy/. Give his stream a visit to see some creative processing & photography.

By the way this isn't a city park. It was taken in front of the mausoleum pointing west across an open space leading to an area of graves.

Hurricane Ike has decided to head east and we aren't expecting any real impact in our area. But Galveston has take a serious beating and loss of life seems certain since many people ignored the mandatory evacuation order. The wall of water driven by Ike was much larger than typically occurring with a Category 2 storm and it is this wall that has proven so devastating it seems. Our thoughts and prayers are with all effected and very importantly with the brave people now venturing out on rescues.

Thanks for visiting, for your friendship, and for your enquiries on our well being.
