Black and White Cobra (Weißlippenkobra, Naja melanoleuca)

A fast, dayactive species. Is good in climbing and likes water more than any other cobra. It is the longest African cobra and is rather dangerous. Fatal bites are reported regularly. Sometimes to be found in human houses, for examples under the bed and in the bath.

And it is maybe the most aggressive cobras of all.

Taken in the fantastic "Reptilienzoo Nockalm", Patergassen/Carinthia (Austria) in June 2007.
