Reuse of urine demonstration - fertilised and not fertilised basil experiment part II
The basil on the left is fertilised with urine, collected at an office in Germany. All of them were strong and growing fast, while the right one of the fertilised is the biggest (more than 50 cm). The unfertilised basil is growing weak and slowly, the leaves are light green and seem not to be healthy (highest 25 cm).
In order to see the effect of urine fertilization more clearly, we used very nutrient-poor soil: it is a 20/80 mixture of sand and of clay granules (to hold moisture).
