Last light on Detroit

Looking down Grand River Avenue at dusk. This is one of those many reasons why it's so damn good to be home again.

    Absolutely fantastic photo, great composition.
  • Dann Austin 8y

That's one of my favorite Kamper buildings, the police station for the 8th Precinct.
  • Ashley Dinges 8y

I absolutely love this. You've done a fantastic job of composing this photo and contrasting Detroit's old, gothic architecture with the new - casinos, DTE building, etc. Really great job.
  • Paul 8y

What's the building you were in/on? I can only vaguely picture the buildings other than the old precinct. I guess that always draws my attention and memory.
  • Ryan Southen 8y

Great vantage and great photo. I just wish the Casino didnt look soo damn dopey.
  • Carol S 8y

Great positioning. The building on the right behind the trees really stands out, and the cones on the building right in front give great depth.
  • Jason Wagner 7y

Great view! Yeah, the casino doesn't look right in the scene.

Maravillosa panoramica de la ciudad de "Detroit"
    Una toma realmente bella
  • Scott Weir 6y

Amazing - great vantage point. The city looks so dense.

I love this photo. Detroit has a bad reputation, often for good reason, but pictures like this really help others realize how beautiful a city it can be at times too. Definitely feels like home.
