    This one was taken from Garden of the Gods, looking North towards Glen Eyrie and the ridges just west of the city. there are neighborhoods on the east slopes of the ridge climbing up pretty high, which are the homes that were in the path of the fire yesterday, June 27, 2012.       This is gorgeous, still I find it very sad because I know what it is. You captured how huge it has become. Recently we had some fires here too and while it was nothing compared to this it was still very very scary.

      Thank you so much for taking this shot! I am the historian for Glen Eyrie and The Navigators, and this haunting picture of the fire in our beloved and familiar canyon is extremely powerful.
