This video was captured near the intersection of Ridge Rd and Southway Rd in Greenbelt, MD on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 6:10 PM. This was the second to last day of the MD campaign.
The DISCOVER-AQ flight campaign comes to an end with flights scheduled for Friday, July 29 between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. The flight segment between the Washington Beltway and Baltimore will follow Interstate 95.
DISCOVER-AQ is a four-year campaign to improve the use of satellites to monitor air quality for public health and environmental benefit.
Through targeted airborne and ground- based observations, DISCOVER-AQ will enable more effective use of current and future satellites to diagnose ground level conditions influencing air quality.
