Donald 'Caley's House

Although he refers to it as "the house that Jack built", Donald 'Caley' actually built his house himself in the 1950's, displaying the resourcefulness and self-reliance that Lewismen have had for centuries. Although in his mid-80's, he built the maroon and white shed (which we call his sentry box) just a couple of years ago.

You can see Donald's old house here....

and a pic of the man himself here.....

Nikon D5000 with 16-85mm lens. 3 shots merged to HDR and tonemapped in Photomatix. Developed in Lightroom. Cropped, reduced in size and converted to JPG in Photoshop for upload to Flickr.

Shooting into the sun caused some problems with lens flare etc, but has occasional benefits.
