Designed by Dr. August Nagel, the historically significant Kodak Retina model 117 of 1934 was the first camera made to utilize Kodak's revolutionary 135 daylight-loading cassettes, and took the fumbling in the dark part of the equation out of miniature camera loading for the casual user.
