This is where all of the trouble started.
While browsing eBay late one night, I happened upon what was described as an old box-type camera with a buy it now price of $12. It arrived in Fort Dodge, IA from Philadelphia rattling around in a 10x10 box with no packing material, with the back open. The lenses were filthy, and the shutter was not working. I cleaned up the sticky shutter blades with Ronsonol and took the dirty old thing to a local car show, not expecting too much, as the taking lens was quite hazy. It was when I scanned the negatives that a realization came to me, even a bad Rolleiflex is still better than any of the other cameras that I owned at the time.
