The last couple of months have been a bit hectic, with trips to Cornwall, Wales, London and France, so this weekend it was good to get out and about in Northumberland. With sunshine and showers forecast and a middling tide, I decided to head for a Northumberland icon and give Dunstanburgh a shot.
I've never come back with anything I was pleased with from here and thought I wasn't going to get anything this time either. Then, at the end of the night, the sun dipped low enough to light the castle and the clouds above it and I managed to get off a few shots.
Surprisingly, for Dunstanburgh, I was all on my own for the evening, standing alone in the water in my wellies. What a lovely way to pass the time...
