This was taken back in the day, with a manual-focus 50mm Nikkor-S on a Nikon FE2 SLR that I got from my father. It's a beautiful lens, and I wish that my Nikon F adapter fit it; for some reason, it doesn't click in properly.
I miss the clicky, deliberate feel of the mechanical camera. Yes, my new kit is better by every metric I can think of, but it simply doesn't feel like a solid slab of aluminum with a big chunk of metal-encased glass hanging off the front. I miss the split-prism focusing, I miss the construction of the lens that had absolutely no play in it; I miss being able to shoot at f/1.4.
This photo is also over at Wikipedia, where, in slightly edited form, it was a featured picture for some time. (They demand more pixels nowadays, and I think I lost the original. Pity, that.)
