The Dilli Haat is a bazaar in New Delhi where merchants set up shop for two weeks at a time, in a rotation throughout the year. Many come from rural areas, like Kashmir, because of the economic opportunities provided by Delhi's high amount of global tourist traffic. A shopper finds a range of quality cloths, jewelry and other assorted goods at a reasonable price, upon paying the 20 rupee entry fee. Here I learned many valuable lessons in the fine art of bargaining, and made my 'Delhi Friend,' Ishfaq.
