Spring Fling 6 - Group Photo - Hands Up Version
On the weekend, I was lucky enough to be one of the attendees at the largest annual geocaching event in this part of the country - Spring Fling 6, put on by a very talented, and hard working group of Central Ontario Geocachers.
The event attracted well over 500 people, qualifying it as an official "Mega" event as defined by Groundspeak. What made the event all the more interesting was the two Groundspeak employees, referred to as "Lackeys" who attended from Seattle, where geocaching.com is based. We had Bootron and Raine to share the day with.
The organizers did a great job with this year's event and everyone was all smiles, even as it rained all day.
I was asked to take the official group photo this year, which is a lot of fun in itself. I got to hang out under a balcony type railing while the "orange shirts" herded the crowd into the area that my 10mm lens could see. This was one of the last photos from the shoot - I asked everyone here to throw their arms up in the air and here's the result.
I'm already looking forward to Spring Fling 7
