Eternal Flame Falls

This is a waterfall in Chestnut Ridge County Park near North Boston, New York. What makes the waterfall unique is the methane gas that comes out behind the Falls, and is often burning behind the waterfall.

I came here with Kristen today to see this oddity, and log an Earthcache (and a waymark). It's a 30 minute hike from the parking down a moderate trail - but be prepared to get your feet wet.

This is a shutter priority photo right out of the camera - I've also got some fun HDR sources that still need processing.
