Here's the shot from my big adventure to the coast with my Sis, and our bud Eric. While everybody else was watching fireworks, we were staring death in the face and laughing back. From the loud screaming and hollering, to the dancing in the crashing waves, Thor's Well put a show on for us. We went for the morning high tide, but with only a 4 foot tide and calm seas, the Well wasn't putting on much of anything. Both Lynn and I asked Eric to stay after getting skunked by Thor's, but he decided to take off for Bandon. Lynn and I went back for the evening tide, and boy what a difference. The 7:22pm tide came in at 5.7 feet with rougher seas. Wow, was there a show for us. I even got hit by a couple of sneaker waves, as well as spray from big crashing waves behind me. My camera must have been at the perfect angle, but I didn't have to use any lens wipes. My sis was shooting video if you want to check it out.
I thought about cropping out that little bit of sky at the top. I decided against it, because I feel that incoming wave was already cramped enough so I decided to do no cropping.
I asked around to get some information on our first trip to Thor's Well. I want to thank Darren for his quick response, Aaron for his custom made maps, and Miles for his information on tides and what to look for. We all really appreciate the help.
Happy Thor's Thursday Everybody
