North Oriental Covered Bridge (Snyder County, PA)

    The North Oriental Covered bridge has also gone by the name of "Beaver Covered Bridge". It spans the Mahantango Creek near Meiserville Pennsylvania with one side in Snyder county and the other in Juniata County. The bridge was built in 1908 and is 69 feet long. Rebuilding was necessary in 1987 after a truck collided with the bridge. The state owns the structure and it is open for daily vehicular traffic. The bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places on 8-10-1979.
