Update on lavender pots

Newer Older

Bless their hearts...the little four-inch pots of lavender that I planted have done exactly what I wanted them to. They've filled the IKEA galvanized planters and are perfect in front of the garden shed.

Ann...I'll have to google lavender and see what I can find out about pruning lavender. My other plants are in the ground and I've just let them grow into bushes. I guess I'll have to do something with the ones in the pots.

All types of lavender do best if deadheaded regularly; otherwise, the plant stops flowering and producing leaves to put all its energy into making seeds. I prune mine anytime from late fall to early spring. To PaperNest, you can cut it back quite severely if it's looking really ratty.

Nice shot. I like the symmetry with just a touch of orange there in the nastursiums

Oh!!!! Eureka! Wellies is such a footwear as your picture shows!!!!! Now I understand! My lexicon didn´t told me that!!! Our word is not as beautiful:
GUMMISTÖVLAR, in a direct translation: rubberboots. ;D "Wellies" Aha!!!

Wellies is the British term for rubber boots, named after Wellington who was the first to wear them, I believe.

This is one of my favorite shots of your cottage.

Just love what your eye sees and the potential.

These Ikea planters would look great with anything...but your ideas amaze me.

Well...your rocks and sea glass, I forgot about.

    Let's just say...I love your photostream : )

    Hello
I hope you don't mind but I had some fun with this photo you took.
I'm not using for anything except to practice.

CathyH...what fun! I wish I had a program so I could play about with photos like this. It almost looks like a painting, rather than photo. Clever you!
