I chanced upon this scene the day they were setting up for the Academy Awards.

    Very weird.

Ta very much for the Perot link. I was trying to find all of them - there's more I've come across on flickr - to link them up and got tied up in knots...
  • Simon Crubellier PRO 9y

Superb. The great thing is, these almost certainly cost a lot more to make than the real Oscars.
  • streunerin 9y

you've been to L.A.? or am i misunderstanding something here?
  • streunerin 9y

    and yes - weird - i agree.
  • Kevo Thomson PRO 9y

This is an old photo, but I re-jigged the 'uploaded on' date to make it timely for the Oscars.

It's actually a scan of a photo taken back in the 90s.
  • streunerin 9y

aaah - i was already wondering about the white line on the right side ;)
  • streunerin 9y

no left side - i will never learn that ;)

Last year, while working across the road at the El Capitan Theatre, I took my break outside and mingled with the crowds... what a fiasco of ridiculous screamers trying to catch the attention of the many show-biz want-a-bee's. It's the booooooring same each and every year.
As for the acceptance speeches... the American English speaking population have no education or interesting use of the English language while the foreigners tried so hard to say "thank you" and sound sincere!
