Yellow Sea Plants at Fitzgerald Marine Reserve

The Fitzgerald Marine Reserve at Moss Beach is one of the richest, most biodiverse intertidal environments on the California coast and home to countless numbers of plants. Because most of the sea's plant life requires sunlight, many ocean plants float or live on the ocean floor in shallow water. These plants provide food, protection and habitats for many marine animals. Some plants are also sources of vitamins and minerals for people.
