Edinburgh IX (Buckenol film developer)

The bronze statue of Robert Fergusson, one of Scotland’s most original, spirited and scholarly poets, walking through the snow outside Canongate Church. Without him, Robert Burns may never have become a poet.

 

Camera: Argus Super Seventy-Five + 65mm f/8 lens

Film: Ilford FP4 Plus 120 developed in Buckenol, a homemade film developer made from Buckfast, soda crystals, and vitamin C.

 

Buckenol developer recipe

- 150ml water

- 350ml Buckfast

- 54g soda crystals

- 16g Vitamin C

 

Development time: 30 mins at 20°C/68°F
