Darlot Petzval Lens Test 01
Same test subject as with the junk lens, but with non-junk lens. This is with an 1880s Darlot Magic Lantern lens, which is pretty much the same as a Darlot portrait Petzval lens. It's not cut for Waterhouse stops, so it's wide open (f-5) all the time. Barrel is worn, but glass is excellent and has a nice 11-inch focal length. Covers 5x7 (here) great with nice subtle swirls in the bokeh as seen here; will work with 8x10 at portrait distance with some vignetting.
