    Designed by the architecture firm of Reid & Reid of Evansville, the building was completed in 1882. It features an exuberant amount of architectural motifs, including several cornices and a square mansard roof covered with tin. The building’s crowning element is a “bull’s eye” tower covered with zinc shingles and topped with wrought iron work, executed by J.B. Mesker & Son from Evansville, Indiana. J.B. Mesker was father to Bernard, George, and Frank who later opened their own companies and became the largest distributors of ornamental sheet-metal and iron products in the nation.       To Chicago geek I have a ton of photos inside and out of the Bank , My husband is one of the owners of Market Street who owns the building. We are getting ready to have it restored for our 100 year anv.
