We have a bowl of cold soybean milk, and some baked bread thingie with an omelette and fried dough stick (yau tiew). Apparently you wrap the lot on the right up like a kebab and dip it into the soy milk. At least that's what the locals seemed to be doing so I copied them. It makes for a strangely pleasant blend of sweet & savoury.
The bread bit is cooked similar to Indian naan bread. This particular store was using what looked to be an oil drum. There was some burner attached to its bottom and the dough was stuck to its sides as if it was a tandoor.
All up this cost 65 NTD which is about AUD 2.25 at today's rate!
