We're on a short break in North Wales - at Beamaris on the Island of Anglesey.
It was a beautiful misty evening.
I set up and took this 6 second exposure of a wonderful mist rising from the moat and the fields around Beaumaris castle quite some time after the sun went down but before it got dark.
Work began on Beaumaris Castle in1295. It was the last of the "ring of iron" to be built by King Edward I in Wales and was raised on an entirely new site, without earlier buildings to fetter its designer's creative genius, it is possibly the most sophisticated example of medieval military architecture in Britain.
Beaumaris comes from Norman-French for Fair Marsh - "Beau Mareys"
