Alpine Tree Frog (Litoria verreauxii alpina)

A spectacular adult female Alpine Tree Frog lies half-submerged along the shallow margin of an alpine tarn. She remains still and patiently awaits the arrival of invertebrate prey that she might ambush. Mt Selwyn in the Snowy Mountains region of south-eastern New South Wales, Australia.
