a ship can pass Cebu east channel when she has the allowed transit air can actually see that in the middle part on each bridges, you can see the vertical clearance and with that you can compute the air draftt using the present ship's mean draft and the air corresponding air draft.

It seems it is only the really big pax-cargo ships that can't pass underneath the Mactan bridges. Are we talking about the same thing?

I remembered.. but I forgot the dates... sorry...
this vessel got a failure(electrical and machineries). they are floating in the area of Visayan Sea in between of Romblon Island and the Jintotolo Island. Early morning around 4am right after the duty of our 2M he advice as that in the area (coordinates where given, But I forgot) Ozamis Bay 1 is floating with a fire torch on her forward. so we have to watch it. While underway during our duty (4-8am) Ozamis Bay 1 make a radio call thru vhf channel 16 (they are now using their emergency battery for their radio), then I pick-up the call. they need help to contact 1 of their offices in manila or in cebu. So we make a log during that time.. after an hour we encounter a Gothong Southern vessel (going north). we contacted the said vessel and give the message as what Ozamis Bay 1 says.
    that's all...

one of the best photo of her...Hope to see her in TASLI colours...she would be a nice addition..with her speed and cargo load hopefully TASLI would consider taking her and turn her like what they did with Butuan Bay 1 and now TA 5...
