Vanilla Buns with Chocolate Frosting and Sprinkles
I think this is more of a chocolate ganache topping than a frosting. It is just sweet enough and these are my favourite buns i've ever made! Feckin delicious, I got a new hand mixer so they were spongey and springy as feck and really were yum!! I used the lemon bun recipe from my much loved Hummingbird Bakery cookbook, left out the lemon and added in some vanilla essence instead - and then made their chocolate frosting! Highly recommended.
