Linville Falls

Linville Falls resides in the Linville Gorge, in fact at its very beginning. Linville Gorge is the deepest Gorge in the East. The Cherokee Indians called it "The Great Falls". It got its name from William Linville who was killed there (with his son) by Cherokee Indians in 1766. The falls is about 50' tall.
