Close Encounters

A close up of a False Garden Mantid (Pseudomantis albofimbriata) who was as interested in me as I was in him.


These things tend to cruise around alone. I occasionally see them entangled in spider webs however they are quite adept at escaping. In fact this one had a few strands of web attached to its back and legs - maybe it had a lucky escape?
