100th species

Dave and I have been talking for a couple of weeks about what I might do for my 100th species of bird. Maybe a Great Horned Owl, we said, or maybe a hummingbird—but today he put out for me this lovely little White-crowned Sparrow, one of the most common of our Chicagoland creatures, and do you know? I was quite satisfied that it should be thus.
