I ate that tomato this morning, just as it was, standing over the sink after I'd rinsed it. I think it could have used one more day of ripening, but it did fall off the stem when I rolled it into my palm. And it was definitely a good tomato. Just not a great one. I'm holding out for greatness with the next one I pick.
