Tony was born in Goa, India on April 9, 1943 and with his parents moved to Mombasa, Kenya as an infant.

Throughout his life he was an outstanding soccer, field hockey, and cricket player. Regardless of the sport, he always seemed to excel at anything he tried. After finishing high school in 1961, he joined and became a key player for the Nairobi Heros side in the National League in Nairobi. He would go on to play and star with many teams throughout his life. In the early 70s, he worked at Fourways Travels and this is where his love for travel began.

In 1979, he met his future wife, Laura, and they were married in Mombasa, Kenya in 1982. They welcomed their first daughter, Marilyn, in 1983 and shortly thereafter decided to immigrate to the United States, settling in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he would spend the remainder of his life.

After arriving and settling in San Francisco, Tony was hired by United Airlines in 1985 where he held various positions, until his retirement in 2012, He enjoyed his time at the company as it gave him and his family the ability to travel the world and visit the wide network of family and friends.

Tony and his family ultimately settled and bought a house in Concord, CA and welcomed his second daughter, Samantha, in 1988. Tony’s culinary skills in the kitchen were exceptional in which his family & friends all got to enjoy. With the completion of his family, he spent the majority of his time enjoying the company of family and friends, providing the soundtrack to many parties and family gatherings, as well as continuing to stay active in sports. As his children grew older, he would go on to coach their soccer teams and pass along the love of the game to all who came in contact with him. Tony’s all time favorite soccer team was Manchester United, and he never missed watching any of their games.
