As I drove up, an elderly man approached and greeted me with a smile as I introduced myself and we talked about the house.
Forest, 82, told me how he was born in that house along with his siblings and the family of 6 lived there and worked the farm.
He couldn't really say why the house is still there, "its a sturdy home, they had good lumber back then"
When I asked about taking photos, he was good about it, told me that he had to get the "ok from the boss" and his wife came out and we talked some more.
They are both really great people and strangely enough, their children live very close to my home and one even works in another department where I work!
One thing his wife said made me laugh, "looks haunted, doesnt it?". My response was an honest one, "Yes, it sure does, is it?"
I never got an answer to that one.
It was an interesting conversation, I was surprised that my son wasnt tugging at my shirt to get out of there.. haha!
